A few months back, we did a vertical tasting of Plantation, featuring six single-cask expressions from the French bottler. We tasted blind and took notes in two different notebooks, then compared notes at the end. The Plantation single cask Barbados was finished in Amburana, a South American wood that imparts savory flavors. It’s starting to get a bit popular, as Whistle Pig also opted for Amburana for finishing their Old World cask.
During our tasting we went blindly tasted 6 plantation expressions took notes in different notebooks, and compared notes at the end. All were undiluted.
