Last Rites Cocktail

The Last Rites is fast becoming one of my favorite cocktails. The classic tiki drink hails from Mai-Kai in Florida, and was developed by Mariano Liucdine in the 50’s. The drink is balanced, save for a wallop of that indescribable passionfruit funk.

Since we moved to the East Bay I’ve been frequenting Kon-Tiki, Oakland’s premier tiki bar, which has a wonderful to go menu. When all of this covid madness ends I’m really hoping bars continue offering to go cocktails. It’s about the one positive thing about Covid.
