Prickly Tequila

This is a tasty and refreshing drink for a warm summer day. Not overly sweet despite what the shocking pink color might lead you to believe. Prickly pear syrup is a substitute for maple syrup on pancakes. In cocktails it makes drinks pretty pink. We ordered this one, unsurprisingly, off a happy hour menu. We actually ordered an old fashioned riff, but this came out instead and rather than sending it back we devoured it.

Like I said… shockingly pink

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Tequila
  • 1 oz Prickly Pear Syrup
  • .5 oz Lime Juice

Glass

Old fashioned glass.

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice.
  • Shake and strain into a cocktail glass with ice.
